U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner: a strong dollar is in the interests of the United States        U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Saturday to attend the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Group of Seven (G7) finance ministers meeting to stress again that a strong dollar is in line with U.S. interests.

       Geithner said it is important to continue to have a strong dollar. Will do our best to ensure the maintenance of market confidence.

       For the issue of rebalancing growth, Geithner said: “We need to make a more balanced and sustainable growth, reduce distortions and crises may lead to a tendency.      Asked whether the G7 meeting or discussion related to reduction in the size of the new functions, Geithner said that the meeting did not change in this regard.
