I mean, is it just my broker who is aware of any such order or do the big international investors also aware of it?

Well, the forex market would be the largest of the capital markets across the world.

You and your broker know that you have placed a stop loss order on the currency trade that you wish to protect. You would do this to either protect the profit of this currency position or you wish to stop a further mounting of losses on this position. The trading platform that your broker is utilizing has been activated in this regard; and is awaiting execution in case the stated trigger price of your stop loss is reached due to market action.

The other participants (including the big international investors) in all likelihood would not know about your particular stop loss order.

I would like to trade some stocks, some currencies. If as a broker myself, I don’t really need to pay for brokage? Even I have to pay some other charges, I can trade without commission or brokage if I am a broker?
My point is that I want to trade those not costly as much as possible. So I thought that I have to be a broker. Otherwise how could I do trade without commission or brokerage on every single trade? Thank you very much.

First of all, are you a licensed broker? Have you taken the series exams? If you are licensed, it shouldn’t be hard for you to learn the aspects of trading in Canada or in some other countries. Each country will require it’s own set of standard of running a securities industry. Everything is possible. You need to make phone calls to the places you’re interested in becoming a broker and ask them questions. You can also write them.
On the other hand, if you’re not licensed, google–Securities License. Good luck

Hotforex is a good broker, they have very low spreads, low deposit, ecn, micro accounts, mt4 but no fsa, they are regulated by FSC

I am new to FOREX and am considering using HYMARKETS.COM who appear to offer a 3 pip spread. Is this competitive and if not where can this be beaten? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

These guys only received 2 stars. Be very careful. FX is one of the least regulated industries. There are no good brokers… there are only brokers that are not as bad as others. There is a 96% chance you’ll lose your money in 3 months or less.

Spend some time on education. A year would be a great idea. Paper trading will help you with the platform but will do little to help you with the skill of trading. Your results in paper trading mean very little.

I have been using www.fxcm.com for a long time and have found they have everything you need to get started and continue trading with all the help you want. Most everything is free and you can do as many practice account as you want until you are ready to trade. Good Luck, and be careful
