hi are there any Non banking finance cos who offer trade in forex and are also approved by RBI, certain blogs mention FXcentral to be one such company, are there any others?

Most of the Nationalised Banks in cities are authorised foreign exchange dealers.
You may contact any one of the Banks.

How do you convert profits in foreign currency in Interactive Broker’s TWS ? it seems that when im trading foreign stocks in another currency, the profits are directly accumulated in the foreign currency. is there an auto function to auto convert all P/L ?

There’s no auto function that I know of. You have to sell your Euros (or whatever currency) for dollars at the going rate and pay a trading fee.

But you don’t need to worry about it until you sell the shares.

I’m looking for something along the lines of a virtual remote desktop that runs applications on a server and allows me to process the data I need much faster than my PC. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

There is one hopsting provider i know of and work with that have a built in meta trader 4 and you can upload to the server any other software or platform that you like, like an expert advisor.
it’s very easy to use very reliable and it has 100% up time.

Why don’t you ask them? We wouldn’t know the answer unless we worked for them why they run their business the way they do.

I’ve used several forex platforms, and I have no idea what you’re talking about. Red background? Never seen one. Maybe your monitor is going out or you’re peaking?

What is a fractional spread? Forex is priced in pips; no fractions. Same with the futures; whole points only.

If they don’t offer the leverage you want, move on; there’s lots of them. Who cares why they do it that way. Again, you would have to ask them to get the answer.

Some companies here in Jordan have been on the rise and competing to give more than 17% montly on forex investment consistently. people were sceptical at the beginning but since it has been going on for more than three years people are now selling all they have to invest in these companies, owners of these companies have become very very rich and driving best cars. they collect the people’s money and give them 17 sometimes even 24 % monthl never less than 17. I have been researching and searching to see if this could be possible or is it a scam. joined this site to get some answers, trying to get email of paul U since he seems to be giving the best advice in this but couldn’t find it. so is this true or what? because if it is true i want to take out a loan invest it in these companies and quit my job (university professor) definitely forex investments would make a lot more than what Jordanian professors get a month, i mean no one has to work anymore. so what is going on please advice

if you are a university professor, you should already know that 17% promised is ridiculous for any country

Take a look at NinjaTrader for free. Also, their forex data feed is free. I like it better than MT4.

If you have any idea about any online trade broker who is dealing with stocks, bonds, options , futures and forex in all major stock exchnages in the world.NOTE: Broker Must trade with major stock exchnages through out the world including US stock exchnages.

I have used zecco and scottrade. Zecco is a good choice for free trades or low cost. not the best online brokerage for sure. but good for the commissions. Keep $ 2500 in and ten free trades a month. Otherwise 4.50 equity trades and options.

Actually you can find quotes and charts for forex in Yahoo Finance. Just go to the tab labelled “investing” and select “currencies”.

I usually use fxstreet.com and dailyfx.com myself.

why do brokers not like their clients winning.?

ok this is regarding the forex market.ive read a lot about how forex brokers dont like theyre clients winning so much from proffesional investors..but they never say why.a person who keeps on winning will likely build their capital and probably trade at a greater volume. this greater volume will give the brokers a bigger cut of money due to the bid/ask spread……so why dont they like this then.does it cost them a lot to procces the transaction or something…any opinions would be appreciated

There are some Forex brokers that don’t care because the trades are directly with the banks… they are only a go between. Other brokers actually take the opposite side of the trade…. since most Forex traders lose money….. they make more money then the commissions they’d get if that’s all they did.
