For initiating your forex business at first you have to choose your broker. For selecting your forex broker make sure they are regulated. (my preference is Hotforex, Liteforex, Trading Point, Roboforex). Then go for demo trading. This broker websites will provide you with the trading platform. Hi Susan, Forex trading is for very advanced traders with lots of capital. Before you start trading for real, I would recommend that you spend a lot of time trading on paper. My recommendation would be TD Ameritrade. I am not a forex trader but, TDA gets high marks for their trading platform.

What personal qualification and criteria do I need to register an Australia Forex Introducing Broker Service? Some forex brokers tell me to get an AFSL license but I am not sure whether I am eligible to get one.

One thing my husband always says is, always trust your trade. When you second guess yourself, you lose. Also only “bet” 2% of your account. Never start big and learn from your mistakes. It’s a different with fake money.

It seems to me I can’t visit a finance related site without seeing something about forex trading to the point that I see ads for $ 250 “mini accounts.” It seems to me that trading currencies is exceedingly risky and only for the very sophisticated investor. I trade in options but I moved into that from equity investing. At least in that area I can still look at fundamental corporate performance and detailed economic forecasts to research my options activity. In the world of currencies, however, no such audited, published information exists. While I am sure there are huge amounts of money to be made, it seems as though the average investor has less chance of being successful in the long term with forex than even options trading. Are people just being drawn in to forex like all the late night “Flip this house” infomercials?

if you are still a beginner, as much as possible get a good forex mentor/consultant. only then will you get good results in your trading deals. try to check out this site. they will provide you a personal account service manager or asm for free when you open any of their account- mini, gold, platinum or vip. discussions are done live via phone, email, chat or personal meeting if available in your area. all the best.

I trade currencies on Forex.com. Last year I was sent a 1099 form for my trades with USD vs Gold. I was not sent a 1099 form for my EUR/USD or USD/CAD trades. Are these trades taxable?
Can I have more than a Yes or No answer please, an explanation would be nice. Also, why would these trades not show up on the 1099?

Forex market operate 24 hours in 5 days. hence all the currency trades happens during the trading hours and it operates in several places for example from Japan, Australia, Hongkong, London, USA, and it continues like that all day longs.
